Summit Christian Academy is launching our 7th-12th grade University-style school August 2024!
(Fall 2025, we will open our K-8th University campus! Although it is a 5-day a week program, students meet on campus 3 days a week (M/W/F) in small classrooms of 10-12 students at their grade level. The other 2 days are spent completing home learning, overseen by parents. This allows time for field trips, reading, homework, additional learning supports if needed and project completion guided by parents. Please let us know that your interested by clicking on this link and completing the interest list form)
Why not 5 school days a week? This program delivers a classical program in 3 days a week of on-campus instruction, and 2 days a week of homework, overseen by parents. This design is more effective than a 5-day school program, because there are no time fillers and the classroom size is small (10-12 students). At Summit Christian Academy, the content is classically and biblically-based and our educators are all experts in their field who live out their faith both in and out of the classroom. In addition, the 3-day design cultivates home discipleship, which is the most beautiful component of parenting.
Our core academic program is designed for at least 2-days a week (Tuesday & Thursday)
Adding Wednesday completes a classical education with: Logic, Literature, History/Theology and a math lab (to help with homework or to develop more challenging assignments for advanced students):
Thursdays we offer chapel, led by former Navy Seal, Jimmy Graham. This fall, he will be teaching on what it means to understand and put in practice ... Pillipians 4:8 "Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things."
Jimmy will also be leading the Dads orientation, on an evening in August (Date/Time TBD).
