Music

Elementary Music & Choir

In the elementary years, we focus on teaching the truth of Doxology...

  • In Ephesians 5:18-20, the Apostle Paul tells us to be “filled with the Spirit", speaking to one another with psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit. We are created to worship! As we learn about who we are in Christ Jesus and become so filled with joy and awe, we cannot help but express our love for Him through praise and worship. This is called Doxology.
  • Our music teacher builds her instruction based on the scripture Luke 19:37-40 "the whole multitude of the disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works they had seen;  saying blessed be the King that comes in the name of the Lord; peace in heaven and glory in the highest." And some of the pharisees from among the crowd said unto him, "Master, rebuke your disciples." And he answered and said to them, "I tell you that, if these should hold their peace, the stones would immediately cry out." As God's creation, we are designed to praise and worship his holy name. Our music program instills the truth of scripture and teaches them the joy of worshipping the savior through song and instruments.
